Still the cellar was untiled. The best time for working seemed to be the night. Nobody disturbed me, when I sang while I tiled. The mainstairs to the entry of the house needs to be done as well. 6 corners - a nightmare - but I could accomplish it. Some people need activity as sport and this was my of doing sport: tiling, carpeting, painting and singing.
Sometimes you have to jump into cold water to know how well you can swim.
A ship docked in the harbour is not as secure as the one, that braves all storms, arriving safe at every new port.
At the end of 1999 I felt that a change would come, but how important it will be for myself and that the life have still a lot of unknown possibilities, I didn't imagine in any way.
My income to less for paying all the bills, I needed an idea. So I decided to rent out the half of the house.
First the second kitchen, bathroom and livingroom had to be completed. The prices for the kitchen were high, but I always have an ace up my steeve. So I bought a model-kitchen, reminded myself that I am the daughter of carpenters and after three days of thinking I used the saw and with the help of my brother and my mother, the kitchen was soon ready for cooking. The bathroom needed 14 days and we matured to tyling experts. For the living-room I got my old furniture back from my brother.
Divorced, alone with my kids Thomas and Dominique in the big house, a high credit on my shoulders and no alimentation from my exhusband, so the future starts. Nevertheless I felt, that my dicision was right. Poor like a mouse in the chirch, but happier then all the 15 years ago.

A new face of the livingroom
Later, in early 1999, I had a little money to buy some new furniture. Not the "cream of the crop" or as we say that in German: "not the yellow from the egg", but comfortable.
With the death of my mother at the end of October 1999 life and things changed. Even it was more then hardly, made my life a big step forward and get an important impuls of the view of a future.
After long time again travelling. Nevertheless the bills I had to pay didn't get less, vacations with my kids in Spain were possible. Whenalso I had to find out, that Spain isn't really my country for making vacations, so my kids was glad to can be there.
